World Cup a big yawn in football-hating U.S.

Side note:
yesterday, the ESPN commentator had to mention yet again that the US was the only team to score a goal against Italy. Hmmm... can somebody remind him that it was an Italian player that scored it accidentally?

Actually, every time they mention the goal they say it was an own goal. But they just have to mention the US for some reason. This would have stopped if Italy had been eliminated. But now I'm sure we'll keep hearing it in the next game. Like this was some great achievement by the US.
On another topic why is there no post bragging about Italy's last minute win?
